BUSA Competitive Teams – Fall 2011/Spring 2012

'99 Elite Blue girls traveled to Chattanooga this weekend to participate in the ERSA Adidas Spring Fling.  The girls were finalist in the top division, going 3-1-0 with 3 shutouts. Congratulations!!

BUSA Girl's Teams excelled in the Alabama State Cup this past weekend in Decatur.  Below are some of the results from the weekend for our BUSA teams, including the 98 South Blue, state champions, and 98 North Blue, State Finalists, as pictured above.

The BUSA 96 Elite Girls punched their ticket early to the Region III Championship this summer by winning the Premier League Central U14 girl’s title.

  Congratulations to the BUSA 99 North Red Girls for their 2nd place finish this weekend at the 2010 Harpeth Invitational Tournament. The team went undefeated in pool play in route to the finals where they ran out of steam against a tough side from Illinois.

BUSA Teams did very well last weekend at the annual Emerald Coast Classic, in Destin, FL.  The BUSA 98 North Red Girls, pictured above, finished as finalists in the 2010 event.  Congratulations to Coach Katie and the girls for a great weekend of soccer.

MILWAUKEE, Wisc.  (Feb. 15, 2010) – The attendees for US Club Soccer’s upcoming id2 National Training Camp comprising female players born in 1994, 1995 and 1996 as part of the organization’s national player identification and development program were released today. Of the approximately 60 players invited to the camp, approximately half of the players (all in the 1994 age group) were identified through scouting performed by the ECNL Player Identification Program.  The camp will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from February 26 through March 1, 2010, at Vista Park.

The BUSA 98 South Blue Girls team took home first place honors this past weekend at the Mississippi Fire Spring Invitational Tournament.  The girls went undefeated on the weekend in route to the championship.  Congrats to the girls, Coach Adam and Coach Jon for a great weekend of soccer!

Congrats to the 99 South Red Girls, coached by Mark Wallace for finishing 2nd place in the 2010 Mississippi Fire Invitational!   We are very proud of the girls and their accomplishments and wish them the best the rest of the spring season!

Earlier this month the BUSA 96 Elite Girls traveled to Cincinnati, OH for the Cincinnati United Elite Invitational.  In pool play, the team faced 3 top Ohio teams and finished first in their bracket.  In the championship match, the girls faced the highly ranked Michigan Gators.  Down 0 to 2 in the second half, the girls rallied back to at 4:3 victory with their last goal coming with only minutes left in regulation. 

Coach Jason Lockhart described the game as “the most exciting match the team’s had so far this year”.  Congratulations to the 96 Girls and Coach Lockhart on their great showing!!

12-Player BUSA 93 Elite Girls Captures PUMA Region III Championship

Disproving the theory that there’s strength in numbers, the BUSA ’93 Elite Girls defeated five regionally ranked teams en route to capturing the PUMA Region 3 Championship March 5-7 in Smyrna, TN. 
 

Congratulations are in order for the BUSA 94 Elite Spring Girls team and their 2nd place finish at the PUMA Region III Championships in Smyrna, TN this past weekend.  This team comprised of BUSA 95 and BUSA 94 Elite players went undefeated in group play, in route to the finals where they lost 2-1 to a very strong Carmel United team from Indianapolis.  These girls had a great weekend, and got to play against some great competition!

Two BUSA 93 Elite players have been named to the TOP DRAWER Top 100 Players to Watch List!

Congratulations to Laura Lee Smith, and Annalike Steynn for this honor.

BUSA 94 Elite Goalkeeper, Rachel Ames, was named to the Top Drawer Top 100 Rising Juniors Watch List this past week.  This is a great honor for Rachel and we are very proud of her.  Rachel was also selected to play with the Region III ODP Team on their trip to Europe this week.  We wish her all the best and know that this will be a great experience for her.

FRISCO, Texas (November 9, 2009) – Rosters are announced for the annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls Thanksgiving Interregional. Games will be played at the North Community Park and Coral Glades High School Sportsplex in Coral Springs, Fla. Teams will compete Nov. 22-27.
 

Congratulations to those selected to the Alabama Youth Soccer (ODP)Olympic Development Program.

The Elite Clubs National League announced the "All-Event Team" from the games played in ECNL Divisions at ECNL Winter Showcase in Orlando, FL. An "All-Event Team" of 11 players has been selected at each age group based on nominations from ECNL coaches and scouting by the ECNL Player Identification Program.

"We believe it is very important to recognize outstanding individual performers at ECNL events," said ECNL Vice-President Doug Bracken. "These players stood out for the quality of their play while competing against the best clubs and players in the country and they deserve this honor. Congratulations to all of them."

"Nominations and recommendations for the All-Event Teams are one small component of the new ECNL Player Identification Program," said ECNL President Christian Lavers. "It is our goal through the All-Event Team nominations and through the scouting process in the Player Identification Program to take advantage of the knowledge of all the coaches in the ECNL Member Clubs, collect this information, and then use it to help promote top players and push them forward for consideration at higher levels." The Sanford All-Event teams consist of players from ECNL Member clubs that attended.
