Under 4 and Under 5 Age Group
What is Sunday Soccer?
The Sunday Soccer Program is intended to be an introduction to soccer for players in the Under 4 and Under 5 age groups. The program involves very little time commitment for families as games are played on Sunday afternoons and there are no practices.
Players participate in soccer related skill games as well as play in a 3 v 3 match each week which allows our new stars and their parents to learn basic principles of the game. As an introduction to soccer, this program allows players to be slowly introduced to the game, play fun soccer-related games, and meet new friends in their community.
Who can participate?
Girls and boys with birthdays that fall within the specified time periods are eligible to play Under 4 and Under 5 soccer. To check on your child’s eligibility to play

Where do they play?
We offer two locations and you are able to pick which area is more convenient for your family.
Our North Program is run through our Mtn. Brook Soccer Club affiliate at Brookwood Forest Elementary and our South Program is run though our American Soccer Club affiliate at Sports Blast Fields.
When do they play?
Sunday Soccer plays two seasons per year. During each season they will have five (5) sessions. Our Under 5 teams will begin play at 1:30 pm, while our Under 4 teams begin play at 3:00pm. There are no practices to attend, we will practice and play all on Sunday.
The Fall season begins in mid September and runs through the end of October and the Spring season begins in mid March and ends around the end of April. Players register for each individual season.

Soccer cleats are not required; playing in tennis shoes is acceptable. Football and baseball cleats are not permitted. Earrings and jewelry are also not permitted.

How can I help and get involved with Sunday Soccer?
Birmingham United has several opportunities for parent involvement within the club. Volunteer coaches are vital to the success of our program; we cannot form teams without them.
When you register your child online you can register as a volunteer. The organization will provide volunteers with all the resources needed as a coach along with coaching education clinics for you to attend.
