Players will also be evaluated during Spring games and the 2008/09 Competitive Tryouts.

It's amazing how much more technical and organized soccer training is now. When I was growing up, we practiced twice a week (three times when I got older) and played one game on the weekend, unless there was a tournament, and I didn't start playing in tournaments until I was 11.

2008 United Team Camp Dates Set

This summer's Birmingham United Competitive team camp dates are as follows:

 

• 94 (U15) and Older Teams: July 21-25
• 95 (U14) and Younger Teams: July 28-Aug 1
  

Camp sessions will be held at Rathmell Sports Park and the SportsFirst 1996 Fields. More details will follow as we get closer to tryouts. Check the website often for udates.
