Birmingham United Soccer Association Names Howell Executive Director
Birmingham, AL--Birmingham United Soccer Association (BUSA) announces the appointment of Jay Howell as Executive Director, effective June 1. Howell comes to Birmingham from Raleigh, North Carolina, where he served as Director of Coaching for the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL), the largest full service soccer organization in the country, for the past eleven years.

Huntsville /Birmingham, Alabama's soccer prodigy returns home!!
Monica (Hall) Brown has joined Birmingham United Soccer Association as the new Director of Soccer Operations.
Starting this summer, Monica will work closely with the entire BUSA staff, helping direct, oversee, and manage the daily soccer business operations for BUSA.

Mandy Moraca joins BUSA as Girls Staff Coach
Starting August 1, Mandy Moraca will join BUSA Full Time primarily coaching and training younger competitive girl’s teams as well as working with the ECNL teams.

BUSA Teams Excel at USYS Southern Regionals
BUSA proudly sent 8 teams to the USYS Southern Regional Tournament in Baton Rouge, LA in mid June. The club was very pleased with the results of our teams, and especially proud of our 94 and 96 Elite girls teams for reaching the quarter-finals. Congrats to these teams for making it out of group play and once again proving that our teams can play with anyone in the country! (See article below for details of the BUSA 94 Elite trip)
