Send Photos, Win Stuff

Send us your favorite photos of a Birmingham United, Mountain Brook, or American Soccer scene each week and we'll post them here on the website. We'll open the polls to the site's readers so they can select the best photo each week. The top weekly winners each month will win a cool piece of United gear!

Of course, we have some rules...

BIRMINGHAM UNITED PHOTO CONTEST RULES
WHO MAY ENTER
  • All members of the Birmingham United Soccer Association, the Mountain Brook Soccer Club, or the American Soccer Club may enter the weekly photo contest.
ENTRIES
  • Color or black-and-white photos are acceptable. Only digital pictures in GIF or JPEG format will be accepted.
  • History indicates that unretouched photos perform better in contests such as this, but if you absolutely must show off your "mad Photoshop skillz," feel free to do so - however, you must include the original unretouched source image(s) with your entry.
  • Entries must be emailed to photocontest@birminghamunited.com.
  • Entries must be received no later than Monday of each week to be considered for the contest that week.
  • Only a limited number of entries can be accommodated in a given week due to technical constraints, so it is in your best interests to send your entries early. Birmingham United will be the sole judge of whether entries are received in time for participation in the contest and, in the event that more entries are received than can be accommodated in a given week, which entries will be used. Entries received but not used in a given week may be held over and used in subsequent weeks at our sole discretion.
  • You may provide a caption or title for your entry, or you may leave the captioning up to Birmingham United. Be forewarned, some of us have a weird sense of humor. If you provide a caption that we don't think is suitable for use for whatever reason at our sole discretion, we will change it. Please don't be offended if we do so.
JUDGING
  • Entries will be judged by visitors to the Birmingham United website. The website's polling mechanism will be used to collect votes for each week's contest. In the event that the poll does not provide a conclusive result, the winner will be selected by a club official.
  • Votes will be accumulated from the time the contest photos are published on the website until the close of match play on Saturday. Winners will be announced as quickly as possible, usually by Sunday, or whenever we get around to it. (Hey, at least we're honest about it.)
AWARDS
  • Weekly winners will receive an item of Birmimgham United apparel or other item at our sole discretion. Selection may be limited to available stock.
RESTRICTIONS
  • You must own all rights to any photographs or images submitted in association with this contest. It is your responsibility to ensure that publication of the photographs or images by the Birmingham United Soccer Association raises no legal claims.
  • Entrants agree to allow the Birmingham United Soccer Association, the Mountain Brook Soccer Club, and/or the American Soccer Club to publish their submitted photographs and images in print or electronic form in future publications or contests and to use them for advertising and promotional purposes without payment or acknowledgment.
GENERAL AGREEMENT
  • Submission of an entry to the contest automatically constitutes your acceptance of all conditions set forth in the above rules.
  • Entries not complying with the above rules will be disqualified.
