Sean Doran has been promoted to Alabama FC Assistant Director of Coaching.  With the continued rapid growth of our Alabama FC Competitive, SCCL, ECNL-RL and ECNL programs Sean is the perfect person to continue club ascension in all of our competitive platforms.  In this new role Sean will have greater input to help manage and develop coaches and players, while also working on strategic initiatives for the entire membership.

Executive Director Andrew Brower was quoted, “We are excited to promote Sean to the role of Assistant Director of Coaching for Alabama FC.  Sean has been a wonderful, dedicated employee for many years.  He has been a key ingredient in developing many successful players during his time with Alabama FC.  He possesses a keen understanding of the game and is able to translate that knowledge onto players. He has been fiercely loyal to the club, and we are excited to see him now have the opportunity to impact the entire organization.  Congratulations Sean.”

AFC and USC Unite to Create Alabama FC Huntsville-USC

Alabama FC and United Soccer Club (USC) Unite to Create Alabama FC Huntsville-USC

We are excited to announce the creation of Alabama FC Huntsville-USC effective April 15th, 2024 in a partnership between USC and Alabama FC. This long-term collaboration is the culmination of many years of conversations, friendships, and professional relationships while growing the game of soccer in Alabama.  Both clubs have deep, and storied roots which can measured by player and team success but also by always trying to serve the players first.  Through this partnership, it will allow both organizations more player development options, platforms, and growth opportunities under the Alabama FC Huntsville- USC banner.

 Alabama FC Executive Director, Andrew Brower was quoted, “This is an exciting day for soccer in Alabama.  We are thrilled to have this partnership in Huntsville with USC, as this will be a great endeavor for our current players and allow for limitless growth and development opportunities in the future.  The partnership between both leadership teams has been seamless. It is exciting to be able to work with high character leaders where the number one goal is to always serve the players and provide appropriate developmental pathways for their membership.  We look forward to exciting things to come in Huntsville”

 USC Executive Director Phil Moyer was quoted,” This is a really exciting time to be partnering with Alabama FC. We have recently had some great conversations about the sport, competition levels, and service to our local communities through this game. Partnering with Alabama FC allows us to offer a much broader range of opportunities and soccer experiences to our membership. Bringing these two top Alabama Soccer organizations together is a great blessing, and we feel that with this shared vision we will be able to provide our athletes the absolute best youth soccer experience in Alabama.
